"Narrow streets and cobblestone"
I spent a week in beautiful Porto.
It was my first visit to Portugal.
The weather was just perfect - below 20 deg C at nights (well below ;) ), 21-25 during the days - just perfect for roaming/walking around.
We settled for a nice Carris hotel in Porto Robeira - an excellent location, right next to the river, in the very heart of Porto, well communicated (if you opt to use public transport), close to all main areas of interest.
For 3 days we just walked, enjoyed the food, the weather, the street performances and of course Porto wine ;)
We were lucky to see awesome Bruna Costa performance - a very talented singer/guitar player from Portugal - check her Instagram:
Then we moved to the ocean side of Porto, Foz area. We stayed in Boa Vista hotel with a pool on the roof, a bar and a great view!
Though the ocean was too cold for me to swim, we spent 3 lazy days on various beaches, walking around and visitng a nearby town of Matosinhos.
My wife and I walked 90km during 6 days in Portugal - for us it was the best way to explore Porto.
In a nutshell: a beautiful country, great food, great weather - highly recommended!
Below there are some pictures from the visit for your enjoyment :)
